This week, I started building my WordPress website for my digital marketing class. I decided to create DNM Creative Media, a website where I can share my photography, videos, and creative projects.

The first step was choosing a domain name. I decided to use dnmcreative.media because I wanted a name that could represent different types of creative work instead of focusing only on photography or video.

After choosing the domain, I set up my WordPress website and selected the Twenty Twenty-Four theme. At first, I wanted to start changing the design right away, but I kept the original theme so I could use it as a reference before making changes.

I also created a professional email address using my website domain. This was useful because it makes the website feel more professional and gives me an email address that is connected to my creative brand.

The setup process helped me understand some of the basic steps involved in creating a website. Some parts were easy, while other parts took some time to understand, especially the difference between the website, domain, hosting, and WordPress.

I am excited to continue working on the website in the next few weeks. I want to use this project to create a place where I can showcase my photography, video work, and other creative projects while also learning more about website management and digital marketing.
